In this course, you will learn a lot about how comics are made through easy to understand, yet specific lessons. Most important, you will learn methods, techniques, tips and tricks to kickstart or improve your career as a comic author. To do so I'll start teaching you the basics of drawing, such as human anathomy and proportions, as well as perspective and locations planning to create memorable worlds where your stories will take place. One of the most important part of telling a story, though, is to be clear and undertandable. To do so, making a good storyboard is crucial, and I will explain you some important notion of direction and storytelling, as well as how to balance a drawing to make it visually impactful and nice. Finally I'll explain you which are the best inking tools you can use, their strenghts and weaknesses and which ones better fit your style. At the end of the course, you will have done a complete character design, study location, storyboard and at a complete mini-story, at least three pages long. But, most important, you will have learned all that's needed to make your comics all by yourself, when, where and how you want.
The course is taught in English, German and Italian as required. No previous knowledge needed. Please bring these materials with you!
