The aim of this image was to capture the wonderful contrast between the wilting leaves, which are slowly losing their colour, and the rich red of the apple - just above the point of perfect ripeness.

About the artist Isabel Mischka

Born in 1996 in Austria, Mischka graduated with distinction from the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh in 2019 and received the James & Eve Bennett Trust Fund Award. She is a fellow member of the Society of Botanical Artists, UK.
