Ptit Marc

Ptit Marc is a Belgian artist from Liège who studied at the Beaux-Arts Liège in the 1990s and began exhibiting his work early on. Together with friends, he shaped the alternative comic and autofiction scene as a founding member of the award-winning fanzine Mycose, which was influential for over a decade. After moving away from autobiographical introspection, he broke free from the rigid structures of comics and expanded his expression into painting. His free, vibrant style—shaped by everyday life, pop culture, and the rebellious Liège punk scene—is evident in detailed works on canvas, wood, glass, or even skateboards. A solid education—from studying scenography at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Liège, earning an acclaimed degree in comics and illustration, to an Erasmus stay in Valencia—underscores his multifaceted artistic career. Ptit Marc regularly exhibits his work in Belgium, France, and Switzerland, transforming the ordinary into a unique narrative with humor and empathy.
